Hello I am very interested in finding a copy of the Fisherman Ripple Afghan Pattern #5306 from Herrschners. I started this afghan year ago and found it all stored nicely in a box with all the material but the pattern has faded so badly I can't read it in places. If anyone has the pattern PRETTY PLEASE can you e mail it to me or even mail it to my. I would be every so gratful.

Mary,

Hi, I happened upon this site while I was also searching for a pattern I thought it was called fishermans weave but I have gone through like 30 pattern books at Joann Fabrics and have not been able to find it. I only can remember what it looks like. I started one 15 years ago but lost it and the directions. I do remember that it looks like a zigzag pattern but they are actually diamond shaped, each square is done then you move onto next "square-diamond". each diamond actually looks like it is a weave. If you could help I would be so grateful. Let me know what you have found out. Thanks Sue - New York

Back in the 1970's, I had a pattern (I think it was Simplicity or McCall's) for an afghan and 2 coordinating pillows. The afghan, which was called a Fisherman's design, was made in 5 long panels. Three had a beautiful diamond design with some puff stitches; the other 2 panels were most puff stiches. The long ends of the afghan had beautiful long fringe that was knotted twice. One of the pillow covers had the puff stitch, while the other had the diamond stitches. Each pillow had fringe at each of the corners. Somehow, I lost the pattern and wanted to make the afghan for a friend. Is anyone familiar with this pattern? If there was a way that I could get a photocopy or a scan of this pattern, I would be very appreciative.

I have this pattern, but used the yarn on something else. Now I'm trying to figure out how much yarn I need to make it.

I have an afgan I crocheted in the 80's it is a fishermans pattern. I have since lost the pattern. I am now into felting with wool and think some of the fishermans stiches would add an interesting texture. If anyone has this pattern could you please e-mail it to me.

I think you might be the one that had replied to me - I found the pattern through a generous soul in Michigan - have retyped it - sent it to another person in Wisconsin - did you ever find it?

I found my pattern if anyone would like a copy. My only problem is that it does not tell how much wool you need. Does Anyone know how much? Much appreciated.
