This Forum is a new feature that we are trialing at Hass Design. Please bear with us if there are any glitches.

I wanted to check in and see how the Patriot Doily Crochet-Along is turning out.

Still working on the coaster, since i had a minor setback with several other projects that needed to be finished.

I do like the look of the stitches with a smaller thread. It is turning out well.

I decided to substitute the blue thread with forest green and turn the doily into a Christmas doily. It is beautiful. I found this pattern to be a little more time consuming with the delta blossoms but nonetheless, it is one pattern that I will enjoy doing again and changing the colors on each one.

Thank you so much, Hardy, for the crochetalong. This is my first one and also my first filet project. The directions are very clear and helpful. I finished the bell ornament this morning, and I am so pleased with the result. I am very excited about starting the doily today. It looks beautiful and also complicated, but row by row with your direction, I think I can do it!!! Thank you for this wonderful and creative way of helping us learn the art of filet crochet. Vicki
