Once I get the first repeat done correctly I can wiz through the ribbon. It's just getting the first repeat that takes most of my concentration then it's easy peasy...

That is good to hear. Unfortunately, life got in the way and i haven't been able to start the second one yet. Soon, I hope.

I'm still plugging along on the Camille doily and have a question.
How do you make the 3-joined dc in round 6?

I did them as a cluster,

DC in Sc, DC in Ch1, DC in TR keeping the last loop of stich on hook and passing thread thru all 4 loops on hook.

Hope that helps!

Thanks so much, Robert. I've got it now. Being left-handed, I have to reverse the stitch diagrams in my head so I tend to go to the written instructions which are not very complete.

I'm also a lefty, but when it comes to crochet and using scissors and such I use my right hand. So maybe I am ambidextrous??

Sounds like you are. The only thing I do (or did) was bat right-handed back when I used to play baseball as a kid. That's probably because my right-handed cousin taught me. I have tried over the years to crochet right-handed without success. Maybe I'll give it a try again, but probably not with thread crochet.

Can your printer reverse the the diagram when you print it? In other words, make it a mirror image? That would certainly be a help for left handers.

Thanks for the suggestion, Marge. I found that my printer will print in a mirror image if I use the t-shirt setting. I'm back in business working on the Camille doily.
