Star Jasmine Doily

I am making the Star Jasmine Doily and am now doing the short rows. From the way it looks you do a row and then turn and do the next rows and so forth. However since the doily is all in rounds the back side of the doily will look different when I do that. I have been doing one row then cutting the thread and going back to the right side and doing them that way. That way I do not turn the doily and the front will look all alike. Is there something I am missing that would make it all look alike if I did it by turning each row and not cutting the tread? I have done 3 short row sides and have 3 sides left to do. It is alot of trouble cutting each row and then hiding the thread.

wow...

cutting the thread like that? that doesn't seem right.

i have not worked the Star Jasmine Doily.

All I know is that a lot of pieces have a definite front and back.

it is my understanding that the Star Jasmine Doily is worked as one piece. Sometimes you have to trust the pattern and when it is finished is when you say "aha!"
