oval fillet poinsettia tablecloth-----Help
Posted by: Terry Patterson ()

I completed the oval poinsettia tablecloth only to discover that there was a major mistake. When a pattern is printed with half the design do you repeat the last stitch or do you do the last stitch once and then continue with the design.

With the Haas pattern I doubled the last stitch and then discovered that the poinsettia in the middle had two double leaves. I don't know what to do as I have tried to do that area several ways and it does not seem to work out.

Please help.

Thank you

Terry

Hi Terry,

Sorry for the trouble. Always look for the line with the M, that marks the middle of the pattern (kind of like the folding line). Always work to the M and then back. In case of the oval poinsettia,

I will send you a pdf file with the entire pattern. Please compare the patterns so you see, where to turn around next time. The patterns are too big to be show in full on the internet. They would be too blurry.

And please let me know, in case you have any problems,

Hardy!

Hi Hardy I just bought your Oval Potsdamn pattern and just love the way it looks. I am anxious to begin this project but would like to know if you might have some tips or tricks that I might use on this pattern. A friend bought one of your patterns and said that you had a Stitch Review on the right of where you download the pattern. I could not find anything like that and I think that it is because she is doing a much smaller project than mine. Do you have tips on making the tablecloth?? It sure would make me feel better about doing this if I knew some tips like how do you keep the tablecloth clean while you are crocheting it this is a large project?? I sure would appreciate any input tips are always helpful especially if you have never done a tablecloth before.

Thanks
Brenda

Hi Brenda,

I recomand you check out the free little hearts crochet along. Just sign up for it and take the lessons. There we teach all the stitches and many tips and tricks. I am sure it will help you with the filet technique before you start the large project. You can find it in the crochet along section.

Enjoy Hardy!

I bought the poinsettia tablecloth pattern from Hassdesigh but must not have gotten the whole pattern. The pattern said it was 1/4 of the pattern but it was only rows 100 to 177 which is only the upper right forth. I have crocheted tablecloths like this before but began with row 1. I am a very experienced in crochtting. I need help with this.

Hi Paula,

It seems to me you are missing some parts of the pattern. Please send me your e-mail address and a little note to hassdesign@aol.com and I will send you a pdf file with the pattern.
