I'm a little behind. I'm working on my Blossom Ornament. In the Stitch Review for the joined TR, it doesn't instruct me to put a chain stitch in the top of the joined TRs. In the round 3 directions of the Blossom Ornament, I'm instructed to do a slip stitch in top ch of the 2 joined tr from the beginning round. Should I be closing my joined TRs with a chain stitch?

I believe it is only the first one you do that with. Otherwise you end up with a space in the middle.

Hi Jody,

you finish off a tr-puff with a chain 1, to keep the tr's nice and tight together. But when making the blossoms, we skip for the first petal the ch 1, since it would create a space between the petals. And the blossom would look a bit elongated.

I am not sure where you are, when you are talking about having to place the slip stitch. That's only to close a round.

What is a 3 joined tr? How does it differ from the puff stitch?
Don't know where I should be posting my question...have been searching through the message board in hopes of finding a similar question/answer.

3-joined tr's means that the tr's are crocheted off together on the top. They may placed in different stitches on the bottom.
When you have a puff the stitches are always placed into the same stitch on the bottom and crocheted off together.

After posting the msg I finally figured out the joined TRs stitch placement by trial and error - studied the chart pattern and tried the TR's a couple of different ways.
