Try out the download from apple at [www.apple.com] Make sure you select the "Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7" radio button.

Apple references:
Windows Minimum Requirements
?A PC running Windows XP (Service Pack 2 or later), Windows Vista or Windows 7
?233-MHz Pentium-class processor or better
?At least 128MB of RAM

In my experience, if you have a problem with the install, it may be better to UNINSTALL the version you have and re-install it.
